Moonshine Moonshine
Moonshine Moonshine is an offshoot of Brighton based folk ensemble Shoreline.
The music is a concoction of singing, entwined guitars, strings and occasionally a beautiful piano, mandolin or horn pipes up. Quite up in the air.
The sound is influenced by acoustic music from across the world – from folk to popular ballads to Christmas carols to grunge and jazz – but it grows in the hills of Rome and Brighton.
Bea Sanjust on vocals and guitar, Tom Cowan on classical guitar and whatever fellow Willkommeners are in available radius (Mike Siddell, Will Calderbank, Nick Hemming and Alistair Strachan so far) as a band they have played in Brighton, London and festivals across England. More Willkommenners pitch into the recordings, which are still in progress and will be available on Willkommen Records in 2009.
Recently the songs have been played at Shoreline gigs since Bea is spending some time in Italy and the crew is very similar.
