Laish Quartet, Hamilton Yarns and Rowan Coupland
The final instalment in Willkommen Collective’s triple bill of Pavilion Theatre showcases kicks off proceedings with the soulful alt-folk meditations of Danny Green’s Laish Quartet. Possessed of ‘sublime vocals… honest, soulful and gimmick free’ (NME), when Daniel is not
heading up Laish’s mutable incarnations, he can be found moonlighting with Willkommen bedfellows Sons of Noel and Adrian, or drumming for Kopek. Support comes in the uncanny guise of Hamilton Yarns – ‘somewhere between Smile era Brian Wilson and the broken-hearted homilies of Ivor Cutler’ (The Wire). Plus (in the bar) multi instrumentalist / singer Rowan Coupland, another graduate of the Sons of Noel and Adrian school of musical eclecticism.
