The wait is over! The Leisure Society ‘Last of the Melting Snow’ single is finally available here in the shop in both digital and CD formats. The band are also doing a live session for Marc Riley’s 6music show tonight (7-9pm) and are the track of the day on The Times website. They were also recommended by The Observer over the weekend. The video should be online very soon too.
The band play two special free shows in London this weekend to celebrate, Portobello Winterfest on Saturday, 3pm – 6pm with fellow Willkommeners Laish and Moonshine Jamboree at the Slaughtered Lamb on Sunday, an all day Christmas party.

The Leisure Society’s new single ‘The Last of the Melting Snow’ will be available through iTunes, Napster and more on December 15th.
Zane Lowe has already played the track on his Radio 1 show, tonight Mark Radcliffe will be playing the song on his Radcliffe & Maconie show as part of the Pick ‘n’ Mix feature.
Basically the song will be played alongside a few other new tracks and listeners have to vote for their favourite. The winning song becomes next’s weeks Record of the Week.
Please help us to secure more airtime by voting for The Leisure Society. It will begin from 10pm this Thursday on the Radcliffe & Maconie show’s website. The show airs from 8pm until 10pm monday to thursday if you want to listen in. Thanks!

Thank you to everyone who came along to our label showcase at Notting Hill Arts Club on Saturday, it was a great success. I hope everyone is enjoying listening to their free label compilations CDs – if you didn’t manage to get one you can download the entire Willkommen Collective compilation from last.fm here.
We’ll be giving away more of them over the coming weeks at our shows and with our mailorder.
